The Evolution of the Ski Boat
During the 2008 recession, most boat manufacturers shifted from producing 100% 19-foot ski boats to larger 20-foot “family boats.”These longer boats, with greater volume, became significantly heavier. To reach 36 mph / 58 km/h, manufacturers moved from 5.0–5.3L engines to 6.0 and even 6.2L engines. The result: more weight, bigger engines, higher fuel consumption — and boat prices that have doubled in less than 10 years, now averaging over $110,000 USD.

Alahua Pista: Back to Pure Ski Performance
Alahua Boats presents its first prototype: Pista01 — a true 100% ski boat, engineered to be 20% lighter than current market alternatives.
Built around performance, efficiency and simplicity, the Pista introduces several key innovations:
-
Central driving position, improving visibility and tracking, with space for the pilot and two passengers.
-
Dual side-mounted fuel tanks for perfect balance, faster acceleration and reduced wake.
-
400 RPM lower operating range compared to competitors, delivering:
-
~20% longer engine life
-
Lower fuel consumption
-
-
Exceptionally smooth wake — designed specifically for high-level slalom.
