Alahua Waterski Training System

Alahua Waterski Training System

Alahua Waterski Training System

Almost 10 years ago, my friend Ramón Quintana told me about a professional snow ski school where everyone—from beginners to Olympic athletes—had to master a series of steps before moving on.

He suggested that I create something similar for waterskiing.

That is how the Alahua Waterski Training System was born. I have been teaching it for several years now, with very good results.

The idea is simple:

No matter your level or your age, every step has a purpose.

Learn Skills, Not Just Positions

The system uses fun and challenging exercises to develop the skills you need: balance, ski control, acceleration, coordination, and more.

Instead of trying to teach you a position that you are not yet able to perform, we first develop the skills you need through simple, progressive exercises.

Before You Ski

Warm up for at least 10 minutes before putting on a pair of skis.

The first step is to feel comfortable in the water. You should be able to comfortably swim around the boat while wearing a USCG-approved life jacket, and you should be comfortable jumping from the boat's swim platform into the water.

This applies whether you are 2 years old or 50.
